2007 earthquake destroyed 80% of Pisco — thousands of families were left in precarious housing that remains to this day
Many families lack clean water, sanitation and reliable electricity in the peripheral neighborhoods we serve
Child malnutrition and school dropout are chronic — the cycle of poverty repeats across generations without organizations like BSI
Nearly 40% of rural Peruvian households lack access to the full bundle of basic services: water, sanitation, electricity and internet
