Four programs, one mission

Every program we run addresses a different root cause of poverty in Pisco. Together they form a holistic approach to child and family development β€” body, mind, spirit, and community.

Program 01
Education & Training
Breaking the cycle of poverty through knowledge and skills

In Pisco’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, many children fall behind in school due to lack of support at home, poor nutrition, or the need to work to help their families. Without intervention, this leads to dropout β€” and a lifetime of limited opportunities.

Our Education & Training program provides the tools, mentorship, and encouragement children need to stay in school and build a foundation for their future. We serve children from ages 5 to 17 with tailored support at every stage.

Beyond academic support, we offer vocational training for older youth, equipping them with practical skills β€” from carpentry to cooking to digital literacy β€” that open doors to employment and independence.

Health & Nutrition
Because a hungry child cannot learn, and a sick child cannot thrive

Child malnutrition in Pisco’s peripheral neighborhoods is a silent crisis. Many children arrive at school without having eaten breakfast. Many families cannot afford regular medical care. The consequences β€” stunted growth, weakened immunity, cognitive delays β€” last a lifetime.

Our Health & Nutrition program ensures that children and families have access to the basic healthcare and nutrition they need to grow, develop, and live with dignity. We work with local health workers and partner clinics to reach the most vulnerable.

We also run nutrition education workshops for parents and caregivers, empowering families with practical knowledge to improve their children’s health at home β€” even on limited budgets.

Recreation & Integration
Play is not a luxury β€” it is essential to healthy childhood development

Children who grow up in poverty often have no safe spaces to play, create, or simply be children. In Pisco’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, streets can be dangerous, open spaces are scarce, and organized activities are nonexistent for families who cannot afford them.

Our Recreation & Integration program creates safe, joyful, and enriching spaces where children can play, discover their talents, build friendships, and develop confidence. These experiences are not extras β€” they are foundational to healthy emotional and social development.

Sports, art, music, and community events also bring families and neighbors together, strengthening the social fabric of communities that have been fragmented by poverty and hardship.

Program 04
Family & Community Support
Strong families are the foundation of everything we build

A child cannot truly thrive if their family is in crisis. Extreme poverty puts enormous pressure on parents β€” leading to stress, conflict, and in many cases, family breakdown. Addressing children’s needs without supporting the whole family only solves half the problem.

Our Family & Community Support program wraps around entire families, providing practical aid, emotional support, and skills that help parents become more effective caregivers β€” even in the most challenging circumstances.

We also invest in community-building, connecting neighbors, training local leaders, and creating networks of mutual support that outlast any single program or organization.

Our approach

How we make it work

Our programs don’t operate in isolation β€” they work together as an integrated system that surrounds children and families with holistic support.

01
Identify
We work with local leaders to identify the most vulnerable children and families in each neighborhood.
02
Enroll
Families are enrolled in the programs that match their specific needs β€” one program or all four.
03
Support
Our team provides consistent, relationship-based support β€” not just services, but genuine human connection.
04
Measure
We track outcomes carefully and report transparently to donors, partners, and the communities we serve.
